Technology News: At WWDC 2025, Apple unveiled a groundbreaking feature with the teaser of iOS 26 – ‘Adaptive Power Mode’. This new feature is designed to enhance battery life by analyzing the user’s battery usage patterns. Instead of users manually adjusting settings, the system automatically adjusts the iPhone's performance, screen brightness, and other key parameters based on the remaining battery level and usage habits. When the battery drops below a certain threshold (usually 20%), Adaptive Power Mode kicks in to optimize power usage without sacrificing performance drastically. It ensures that users get the most out of their battery even during heavy usage or when on low charge. This intelligent approach marks a significant step forward in smartphone battery management, ensuring that iPhone users experience longer usage times between charges without compromising too much on performance or display
This new battery mode added to iOS 26 developer beta will be available along with 'low power mode'. This mode can be activated automatically, especially when the battery level goes below 20%. This AI based system analyzes the user's battery usage data and finds out which apps or functions can save energy. For example: reduce the shine of the display slightly or to slow down some activities.
The interface of the battery section in iOS 26 has become much more useful and informative than before:With the battery percentage, it shows when the charge was last and how much time is left. The seven-day battery usage graph now shows which more or less used than normal.App-by-app battery drain report is now analysis of more specific-background activity, notification, screen time etc.
This feature can be automatically active when the battery falls to 20% and the use situation is such that the battery is ending rapidly. This processor can slow down speed, reduce the brightness of the display, but does not stop the background activity - the low power mode is not as strict. According to the use it can always be on-off, ie the user does not have to change the settings again and again.
This feature is mainly designed for iPhone 15 Pro and new models, which will get updates in iOS 26. It will also be available on iPados 26.
This battery savings will be very useful for devices with thin designs like iPhone 17 Air, such as flagship iPhone, as they have limited battery capacity.Analysis and control of battery usage will be better, which will reveal users in real time what their battery is eating.
The iOS 26 bet is now available for developers, and public beta will be released next month. The entire public release is expected to come from iPhone 11 to iPhone 16 in this fall (Fall 2025).Apple has a smart and automatic feature of 'Adaptive Power Mode' iOS 26. This battery makes small changes by understanding the pattern to increase life-such as display dims or reducing processor speed. This feature will help the iPhone run a long time, especially for users who depend on the battery. Also, a new interface giving information about battery usage data will also prove to be very helpful for users.
